Recycled Concrete and Asphalt
Often, when a new road or building goes up, the previous infrastructure must come down. Luckily, concrete and asphalt materials can be recycled and reused many times, cutting construction costs and decreasing environmental impacts associated with procuring raw materials. Northland owns several recycling and processing sites in the region, including a large pier space in the Duluth harbor. We remove both concrete and asphalt from job sites and crush and screen it into class 5 and class 6 road materials. Additionally, we process and recycle materials brought to our sites by clients.
Recycling Services
Concrete Recycling
There’s no need to send old, broken concrete to a landfill. Recycled concrete aggregate makes a great base for roads, flatwork and pavement.
Asphalt Recycling
Minnesota allows roads to be constructed with recycled material. We re-crush and screen asphalt salvaged from projects all over the region, and stockpile it for future work.
